NorthC is a data center operator with sites across Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. The company runs its facilities on 100 % green energy, pursues carbon neutrality by 2030, and invests in innovative solutions such as residual heat recovery and green hydrogen systems to enhance sustainability.
At NorthC’s data centers in Nuremberg and Munich, an energy efficiency retrofit was implemented within the German funding program “Wettbewerb-Energieeffizienz”. Older UPS systems were replaced with state-of-the-art high-efficiency units.
Our role as consultant included developing the energy-saving concept, preparing the expert report for the funding application, managing all communication with the authorities, and verifying the correct use of subsidies after installation.
