NorthC is a data center operator across Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland that powers its facilities with 100 % green energy, aims for carbon neutrality by 2030, and focuses on heat recovery and innovative energy solutions.
At one of NorthC’s data centers, an energy efficiency concept was developed for the integration of a thermal energy storage system (Heat Tank). The planned solution is designed to buffer cooling demand, enable load shifting and reduce reliance on conventional chillers, thereby improving sustainability and grid resilience.
Our services focused on the preparatory phase and included the development of the energy-saving concept, the preparation of the expert report, and the creation of the funding application under the Wettbewerb-Energieeffizienz program.
