Consulting on europeanwide largest energy performance project with notable reduction of GHG-emissions and energy consumption.
Participation at the Contractor’s project team on the development and implementation of the Lorac-Imtech-Efficiency-Project for 800 properties of Lorac S.a.r.l. (Luxemburg) in Germany. The motivation for the main user of this building, the Deutsche Post AG, were the high savings of CO2 emissions, which constitute a notable contribution to their Go Green Initiative.
The Imtech Contracting GmbH has implemented energy efficiency measures in 800 properties, which are almost used by the Deutschen Post AG. With a volume of more than 400 Million Euro this project is the largest energy efficiency project in Germany and Europe. Tenants, building owners and energy service company are profiting of energy cost saving of more than two Million Euro per year. The reduction of CO2 emissions are 17.000 tons per year.

In the trade area of the stock exchange, in the backoffice area and in the executive floor had appeared climatic unconfortable ambient air conditions. Winfried Haas has been assigned for troubleshooting. He has analysed the operation conditions and the function of the cooling production plants as well as of the major air handling units. He has undertaken some further measurements to identify and solve the failure reason.
Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE

International Consulting assignment in Abu Dhabi, leading an international project team. Design of a demand-side management strategy for the whole Emirate of Abu Dhabi with over 30,000 commercial, private and public buildings, to reduce GHG emissions, energy consumption and peak power demand. 300 buildings were selected with the highest priority. Tender documents for energy performance contracting were drawn up for the first implementation phase.
